Interesting facts about me

I am a Certified Garden Addict! I am proud of my dirty fingernails, mudstained clothes, and hair that is constantly wind challenged. My eyes are blue, my hair is gray, and the rest of me is subject to change without notice! North Carolina Gardener, zone 8! I enjoy all kinds of gardening, propagating, growing and working with herbs. I teach a monthly herb class locally and I just got my Master Gardener! \\

Also, I am the proud pet of MacTavish! A Sheltie who rules the homestead!

And a "Good Morning" to you all, too! Don't ask why I am up so early, just look for the new rug that is now purring at my feet .....oh my.... it looks just like a little black striped tabby cat................the one that had been yeowling for everyone to get up and FEED MENOW! Don't let that laid back pose fool you. Actually, he is looking very smug with himself. In order to keep peace in the house, I dragged myself out of bed, split a little tub of...

It is taking forever to reclaim the side yard garden. The beginning of the season it was just awful. The paths were weedy and overgrown from last year as I had let it just go. Not feeling well and gardening can be a bit incompatible, but I am glad to say the season has started out with a lot more optimism and I am finding that as it progresses I can do more things than I thought I could! So without realizing it I put into practice Patti's WIP <smile> I'm kind of...

I've had so much fun watching the robin parents working the lawn for worms and feeding the babies. It certainly got noisy at pre-breakfast, breakfast, post-breakfast, snack, brunch snack again, LUNCH!!! and repeat until SUPPER and then Bedtime! I honestly thought I would have more time with them, but this afternoon (after the storm that rolled through) I...

  10. Drink a day increases cancer risk

I know I have said this before, but I am always suspect of any study, as a lot depends on WHO is supplying the monies for the study, WHAT is the agenda, WHY is it even being done, WHERE is it being done, and who is participating? I could probably, if given the opportunity quite convincingly come up with a study of supporting "facts, graphs, information, and assorted testimonials" that a fly has the IQ of 120.
